The programme at the School includes the study of Humanities, Arts, Technology and the Disciplines of Design. It combines instruction with experimentation, information with enquiry, discussion with research, so as to develop learning and deepen understanding. It attempts to train architects who are highly sensitive to society and the skills demanded to their profession.
The school offers a full time ten semester degree course. An academic year consists of two semesters and each semester is of about fourteen weeks duration. The first/second part of the fourth year is spent in an architectural office, to obtain first hand experience of the aspects related to architectural practice. On successful completion of nine semesters a student is required to undertake an approved and independent thesis for a period of six months, leading to the award of Degree in Architecture.

In continuation with its philosophy of multi-dimensional awareness, the academic programme involves exhibitions, interaction and jury presentations to senior  professionals and citizens involved with the built environment and Social sciences. The actual education requires students to indulge in actual construction work, site visits, 3-D model presentation and drawing work. Besides this, there are weekly presentations where professionals from related and varied fields come and interact with the students.
